14 Lamborghini luxury vehicles arrived at the Hambantota Port by sea and are being transported to the Bandaranaike International Airport for onward shipment to Dubai and Doha by air.
Reports indicate that the consignment, packed into seven 40-foot containers, is scheduled to depart from the airport on August 21.
The operation highlights the growing role of the island as an emerging sea-to-air cargo transit corridor amid ongoing disruptions to traditional shipping routes in the Middle East.
