Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa issued a special greeting message for the Milad-un-Nabi festival, the birth anniversary celebration of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
In the message, the Leader of the Opposition states that respect, fairness, kindness, and brotherhood are more important than race, religion, and divisions in the face of humanity.
The Leader of the Opposition's greeting message is below.
''In the face of humanity, respect, fairness, kindness, and brotherhood are more important than race, religion, and divisions. Diversity should be made the strength of Sri Lanka, not a reason for our division. Building a society that accepts differences, respects the rights and beliefs of others, and leaves no community behind is our common responsibility. May the path of peace, fairness, and coexistence shown by Prophet Muhammad be a new light for Sri Lanka.!
Wishing a blessed Milad-un-Nabi day to all Sri Lankan Muslim people!''
