A newspaper reports that authorities have ordered the removal of unauthorised hotels and other structures maintained along the coastal stretch from Bambalapitiya to Dehiwala before September 10th.
According to the newspaper report, Coast Conservation authorities have issued these instructions to remove the relevant unauthorised business establishments and structures.
The report states that this order has been issued as part of the actions being taken regarding constructions carried out and business operations maintained within the coastal zone without permission.
Accordingly, it is also stated that authorities are preparing to take legal and administrative action against institutions that do not remove the relevant unauthorised structures and business places within the specified period.
