The 67th State Literary Awards Ceremony took place at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
More than 1,500 books printed in all three languages from last year to date were submitted for this awards ceremony.
Works were selected for awarding under several fields under the supervision of the Literary Sub-Committee, and accordingly, awarding was done under fields such as novels, short stories, poetry, academic books, translations, and others.
Awards were presented to more than 150 writers here, and presenting awards for folklore and biographies was a special feature this time.
