Man dies after sharp-weapon attack in Point Pedro

Point Pedro Police launched an investigation after receiving information yesterday that an injured man was lying near Gramakotta Junction in the Point Pedro police division.

The injured individual was conveyed to the Point Pedro Manthikai Hospital by a 1990 Suwa Seriya ambulance, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as a 33-year-old resident of the Karaveddy area, according to the police.

Initial investigations revealed that the murder occurred when an argument between the victim and a group of individuals escalated, leading to him being attacked with sharp weapons.

Point Pedro Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
