Vallibel Power Erathna commissions 10 MW solar PV project at Dolahena Estate

Vallibel Power Erathna PLC has commenced commercial operations of its 10 MW Ground-Mounted Solar PV Project at Dolahena Estate in Matara.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), in a letter dated 5 December 2025, confirmed that the project officially began operations on 10 September 2025, following completion of all necessary regulatory and grid-connection procedures.

The 10 MW project was implemented as two separate 5 MW installations, both of which were connected to the National Grid on 10 September 2025 in accordance with the executed Standardized Power Purchase Agreements.

The project marks a significant step in expanding renewable energy capacity and aligns with Sri Lanka’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable energy development.
