Revised VAT invoice format mandatory from 1 October

The Inland Revenue Department announced that the revised Value Added Tax invoice format becomes mandatory starting October 1.

An Extraordinary Gazette detailing the requirements for the revised format was released on March 27, aiming to streamline digital tax collection and improve transparency.

Although implementation was initially scheduled for July 1, authorities postponed the deadline after businesses requested additional time to update accounting, billing, and invoicing systems.

The Inland Revenue Department instructed businesses to complete necessary system modifications before the October 1 deadline.
