The match between the Sri Lankan and Pakistani women's teams, played today (24) at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo as part of the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, had to be abandoned due to rain.
Due to persistent heavy rainfall, the match was initially delayed and then started about two hours after the scheduled time, being limited to 34 overs per side.
However, the match was interrupted again by rain when the Pakistani team, batting first, had played 4.2 overs.
At the time of the stoppage, Pakistan had scored 18 runs without losing a wicket.
The match was subsequently abandoned.
