Currently, IM Japan offers job placements in construction, nursing services, manufacturing, automotive technology, and packaging. The new agreement will also introduce opportunities in agriculture, accommodation services, and building cleaning.
Additionally, there are plans to establish a training pool in Sri Lanka for youth to receive training in these new fields. Under the IM Japan program, approximately 500 Sri Lankans have already received technical on-the-job training in Japan, and another 100 trainees are currently undergoing pre-emigration training.
