A serious accident occurred today (16) around 3 p.m. when a high-speed car overturned on the Hatton-Nuwara Eliya road at Nanu Oya Windiconer.
The vehicle, traveling from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya, lost control due to rain and crashed into a telephone pole near the main road. The impact caused the car to overturn, resulting in severe damage to the vehicle.
The driver, who sustained injuries, was transported to the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital. Fortunately, no other individuals were involved or injured in the accident, according to the Nanu Oya Police.
