United National Party Chairman and former Member of Parliament Wajira Abeywardena met and discussed matters with several High Commissioners and Ambassadors currently in the country.

These discussions took place over the past few days, reports indicate.

The meetings with Ambassadors and High Commissioners carry significance as they occurred after Abeywardena returned to the island following a visit to Singapore to see former President and United National Party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is currently resting there while receiving treatment.

Wajira Abeywardena updated the Ambassadors and High Commissioners regarding the health status and well-being of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, according to reports.
