Sri Lanka’s javelin star Rumesh Tharanga delivered a sensational performance at the prestigious Rome Diamond League, stunning the athletics world.

He achieved a massive throw of 92.62m, setting a new Sri Lankan national record, recording the season’s world-leading mark, and breaking multiple records in the process.

With this feat, Tharanga rises to 2nd among Asia’s all-time greatest javelin throwers and secures 8th place in the global all-time rankings in javelin throw history.
