Spirit Airlines prepares to cease operations overnight

Bankrupt discount carrier Spirit Airlines is preparing ‌to cease operations around 3 a.m. on Saturday (0700 GMT), two people ⁠close to the discussions, who declined to be named as the information is private, told Reuters late on ‌Friday.

One ⁠of the people said that Spirit board meeting ended ⁠without an agreement to rescue the company.
