The touring Sri Lankan cricket team suffered a massive defeat by an innings and 217 runs against the West Indies in their first Test match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
Sri Lanka batted first after the West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl, scoring 308 runs before being bowled out.
Skipper Dhananjaya de Silva led with a captain's knock of 120 runs, supported by Dinesh Chandimal who scored 54 runs.
The West Indies responded with a massive 626 runs for the loss of 9 wickets before declaring their innings.
Amir Jangoo anchored the West Indian reply, scoring a double century of 233 runs off 373 balls, inclusive of 19 boundaries and 3 sixes, whilst Roston Chase executed an excellent innings of 194 runs.
The duo combined for a 401-run partnership for the sixth wicket, testing the Sri Lankan bowling attack heavily.
Beginning their second innings trailing by 318 runs, the Sri Lankan batters collapsed under pressure from the West Indian bowlers.
Seven batters were dismissed before reaching double figures, whilst captain Dhananjaya de Silva was dismissed for a duck.
Dinesh Chandimal top-scored for the side with just 43 runs.
The West Indies bundled out the visitors for 101 runs in 31.2 overs to secure the comprehensive victory.
Kemar Roach dismantled the Sri Lankan batting line-up by taking 4 wickets for 51 runs, whilst Jayden Seales claimed 3 wickets for 14 runs.
