Electricity supply to the Aluthgama railway station faces disconnection due to an unpaid bill of nearly 80,000 rupees owed to the electricity board.


Persistent administrative failures within the railway department previously led to the disconnection of telephone lines at various stations. Such power cuts now hinder station announcements, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.
