Syria’s Interior Ministry has now provided an update on the bomb blast in Damascus:
"Our units have commenced field procedures following the explosion of a device inside one of the cafes in the al-Hijaz area of the capital, Damascus.
Security force patrols established a security cordon to ensure the safety of citizens and secure the entire perimeter of the blast site."
