Medihelp Hospital, Mount Lavinia won three Gold Awards and three Silver Awards at the National Convention on Quality and Productivity (NCQP) 2026, with all six quality improvement projects it presented receiving national recognition.

The achievement places Medihelp among Sri Lanka's leading healthcare providers in quality improvement, highlighting how staff-driven innovation continues to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, clinical quality and patient safety across the Group.

The National Convention on Quality and Productivity (NCQP), organised annually by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity (SLAAQP), is Sri Lanka's premier platform for recognising organisations that achieve measurable improvements through quality management.

Medihelp's six award-winning projects addressed a range of operational and clinical challenges encountered in day-to-day healthcare delivery. Developed by multidisciplinary teams across the organisation, the initiatives focused on improving patient safety, enhancing service efficiency, strengthening clinical processes, reducing waiting times, optimising resource utilisation and delivering a better overall patient experience.

General Manager of Medihelp Hospitals Shammi Perera said the awards reflected the organisation's strong culture of continuous improvement.
