Ceylon Green Life Plantation (CGLP) has launched an integrated eco-development initiative aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka’s green economy through sustainable investments in agriculture, tourism, education and biodiversity.

The company recently launched its flagship Ceylon ECO Resort project at Panamure, Embilipitiya, on a 90-acre site that will accommodate a range of environmentally sustainable developments designed to create long-term economic value while supporting rural development.

CGLP has established itself as an emerging player in Sri Lanka’s plantation sector, managing more than 400 acres of cultivated land while expanding into modern agricultural ventures.

The company has been instrumental in promoting greenhouse cultivation by providing farmers with advanced agricultural technologies, technical expertise and greenhouse construction solutions to improve productivity and encourage sustainable farming practices.

The new development is planned as a multi-purpose complex comprising an agricultural faculty, an international-standard tourism facility, greenhouse farming projects, cinnamon and coconut plantations, pineapple cultivation and several other agricultural ventures.

The project aims to create an integrated ecosystem combining education, tourism and agriculture to generate employment opportunities while promoting environmentally responsible economic growth.

CGLP Founder and Chairman Dr. Malan Francis Peter said the company remains committed to building a trusted agricultural enterprise that delivers value to the national economy while creating sustainable opportunities for farmers and local communities.

He added that innovation and environmentally responsible cultivation would remain central to the company’s long-term strategy.

The inauguration ceremony included the laying of the foundation stone and a tree-planting programme attended by Senior Director Iresha Nimantika Wickramasinghe, along with representatives from the public and private sectors.
