Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna General Secretary, Sagara Kariyawasam, is due to appear before the Central Criminal Investigation Bureau today (10).
It relates to a statement he made regarding Inspector General of Police, Priyantha Weerasooriya.
Inquiries by Hiru News confirmed that Sagara Kariyawasam is scheduled to make an appearance at the CCIB at 10:30am.
The SLPP General Secretary, however, said that his remarks concerning the IGP had been incorrectly interpreted.
