Sri Lanka's official reserve assets grow by 2.1%

Sri Lanka’s gross official reserves rose to USD 6.591 billion in July 2026, an increase of USD 133 million from the USD 6.458 billion recorded in June.

Latest data released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka shows that total official reserves increased by approximately 2.1% month-on-month.

Meanwhile, the country’s gold reserves also recorded a marginal increase during the period, rising by USD 1 million from USD 191 million in June to USD 192 million in July.
