The General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Sagara Kariyawasam was arrested.
He was arrested after he arrived at the Central Criminal Investigation Bureau a short while ago to provide a statement.
He was summoned to the Central Criminal Investigation Bureau regarding a statement made about the Inspector General of Police.
Responding to an inquiry made by the Hiru News Division in this regard, he stated that he would appear before the bureau at 10:30 a.m. according to the relevant notification.
