The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation Services said that steps will be taken to move the Gampaha branch of the National Transport Medical Institute to a new place.
The Ministry said this branch will open from Monday at No. 48, Siyane Road, Gampaha.
At present 25 branches of the National Transport Medical Institute have been established across the island to enable applicants for Driving Licenses to obtain fitness certificates and medical certificates required.
Approximately 4,000 persons arrive daily at these centres to obtain services.
