The Police launched a mobile phone application today (17) to gain public information on traffic offenses and accidents in line with the World Road Accident Prevention Week which begins today.
Accordingly, the e-Traffic Police Sri Lanka mobile application will facilitate the public to report traffic offenses and accidents to the police free of charge.
The ceremony was held today at the Ministry of Public Defense under the patronage of retired Rear Admiral Dr. Sarath Weerasekera.
The Minister stated that according to the statement made by the Attorney General regarding the investigation into the Easter attack, the report summoned by him from the CID is due to be received today.
The Minister also commented on the Speaker's request to allow MP Rishad Bathiudeen to attend Parliament.
He stated that allowing a jailed member of parliament to attend Parliament will be a threat and it will disrupt the investigation.
