It is reported that every section of the President's House is going to be inspected and the items will be documented and so far 75 percent of the work have been completed.
Meanwhile, there are plans to build a replica of a cannon near Galle Face in Colombo. It is planned to build a replica of the largest cannon belonging to the English regime, which was found during an excavation for the construction of a star class hotel a few years ago.
The cannon found in the excavations has now been deposited in the Trincomalee Maritime Museum.
