The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has nominated its National Organizer, Namal Rajapaksa, to fill the party’s National List seat in parliament.
SLPP General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam announced the decision during a press conference in Colombo today.
As per the parliamentary election results, the SLPP secured two seats and one bonus seat, enabling the party to appoint a National List Member of Parliament.
Rajapaksa is expected to take his oath soon, marking his entry into parliament under the National List allocation.
