Coconut prices surge across the country

Coconut prices in the market have increased significantly, with a single coconut selling for Rs. 160–210 in Colombo and Rs. 200–230 in Matale town.

Consumers have expressed concern over the sharp price rise. Meanwhile, the Consumer Affairs Authority has launched a nationwide raid and investigation program to monitor market practices ahead of the festive season.
