The Department of Meteorology has announced that rain or thundershowers are likely in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Nuwara Eliya district, after 1:00 PM today.
Additionally, foggy conditions may prevail in some areas of the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, and Southern provinces during the early morning hours.
The Department urges the public to take necessary steps to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning associated with thundershowers.
Meanwhile, the landslide warnings issued by the National Building Research Institute (NBRI) for the following districts remain in effect:
- Badulla
- Colombo
- Galle
- Kalutara
- Kandy
- Kegalle
- Kurunegala
- Monaragala
- Nuwara Eliya
- Ratnapura
