A/L answer sheets undamaged despite floods

The Examinations Department has confirmed that no G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination answer sheets were damaged as a result of the recent widespread floods and landslides across the country.

Indika Kumari Liyanage, the Commissioner General of Examinations, assured the severe weather disruptions.

Meanwhile, the remaining subjects of the A/L examination, which were postponed, are scheduled to be held from the January 12 to 20, 2026, as recently announced by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education.

The Examinations Department has provided multiple channels for the public to report any issues concerning the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination.
