Rainfall expected today

Showers are expected to occur intermittently in the Northern, North-central, and Eastern provinces, as well as the Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts, starting this evening.

The Department of Meteorology also forecasts light showers for the Uva and Northwestern provinces, while other areas may experience afternoon or evening thundershowers in isolated locations.

Early morning ground frost remains a possibility in certain parts of the Nuwara-Eliya district. Additionally, misty conditions are predicted during the early hours across the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, and Uva provinces, along with the Galle and Matara districts.
