Foreign tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka exceeded 300,000 within the first few weeks of this year. According to the Tourism Development Authority, 317,381 tourists visited the island between January 1 and February 4.
India remains the leading source of visitors, contributing 57,348 arrivals during this period. Significant numbers also arrived from the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, China, and France.
In the first four days of February alone, the country welcomed 40,054 international travellers.
