The corruption case against former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and two other defendants will resume on March 14, following an order by Colombo High Court Judge Mohammad Mihal.
The order was issued when the case appeared before the Colombo High Court today (9).
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption filed the lawsuit, alleging that the defendants caused a loss to the government during the 2015 Presidential Election.
The charges involve the misappropriation of nearly Rs. 1 million from the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation to purchase 600 GI pipes for political purposes.
Alongside the former Minister, former Rupavahini Corporation Chairman Wimal Rubasinghe and former Director General Chandrapala Liyanage are named as defendants.
