Advanced Level results expected before New Year

The 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination results are set to be published prior to the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, according to the Commissioner General of Examinations.

Indika Kumari Liyanage, the Commissioner General of Examinations, confirmed that the necessary processes for releasing the results are currently nearing completion. The announcement provides a clear timeline for thousands of students awaiting their scores ahead of the April festive season.

In addition to the A/L update, the Commissioner General noted that the evaluation work related to the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examination papers has already commenced. Practical examinations for the O/L exam are scheduled to be held in the latter part of April.

The Commissioner General also stated that steps will be taken to release the O/L results soon after the completion of those practical examinations.
