Police probe helmet assault

Investigations into an incident where a motorcyclist attacked another rider with a helmet at the Meegahakotuwa junction in Kuliyapitiya are underway.

Kuliyapitiya Police Chief Inspector Kamal Rathnayake confirmed that officers are conducting the inquiry.

Authorities are using CCTV footage to identify the suspect, though a formal complaint has not yet been filed.

The footage shows a rider traveling along the Kuliyapitiya-Pannala road, striking another individual crossing the Madampe main road, then fleeing the scene.
