The U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka welcomed Special Envoy to South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor, on his visit to the country. During his stay, Envoy Gor is scheduled to meet with senior leaders, including President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, to bolster U.S.-Sri Lanka relations and reaffirm U.S. support for Sri Lanka’s sovereignty.
“From maritime security to strategic investments and commercial deals, we see immense opportunity to deepen ties,” the Embassy noted in a social media post.
The visit underscores the ongoing efforts by both countries to expand cooperation across security, economic, and strategic sectors.
