A peaceful protest took place yesterday (31) in Hiriyala, Melsiripura, calling for the punishment of those involved in coal scams and a reduction in fuel, gas, and electricity prices.
The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) organised the demonstration.
The protesters pressured the government to provide relief to the public by lowering essential costs and ensuring justice against individuals responsible for importing inferior coal.
