Student dies following sudden illness

Lavan Akshayan, a resident of Inuvil South in Jaffna who excelled in the Advanced Level examination, passed away today (04) due to a sudden illness.

The entire area remains in deep mourning as the student recently demonstrated outstanding performance in the 2025 Advanced Level examination results.

He sat for the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination from Jaffna Hindu College and secured three 'A' passes in the Mathematics stream. Our correspondent noted that he ranked 24th in the Jaffna district.
