Former State Intelligence Service chief, retired Major General Suresh Sallay, filed a writ petition in the Court of Appeal through his lawyers, challenging his arrest and detention by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
The petition names several respondents, including Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya, CID Director Shani Abeysekara, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security Ravi Seneviratne, Reverend Father Rohan Silva, and the Attorney General.
