Law will be strictly enforced against drivers operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol during the festive season, Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Traffic Control and Road Safety, W. P. J. Senadheera stated.
These remarks were made while attending a press conference held at the Police Headquarters in Colombo yesterday (8).
Drivers involved in even minor traffic incidents during the festive period will be referred for drug tests, he further mentioned.
