Special security programme implemented across island for festive season

A special security plan is in operation across the island to ensure safety during the festive season.

Police stated that 8,000 officers are deployed nationwide for this purpose.

Within the Western Province alone, 2,500 police officers are stationed to maintain security.

 Additionally, police mentioned that a special programme started to arrest individuals who violate traffic laws during the festive period.
