A fisherman drowned after two fishing vessels collided and capsized in the Vangalapadu sea in Mannar.
Police stated that the incident occurred early this morning (15) while the victims were engaged in fishing.
Two other fishermen who sustained injuries are currently receiving treatment at the Mannar Hospital.
The deceased is a 55-year-old resident of the Pesalai area.
