All eight bodies recovered from the Deduru Oya drowning

The bodies of the other two individuals who went missing after being swept away in the Deduru Oya in the Kobeigane area were recovered.

The death toll from the incident rose to 8 following this discovery.

A group of people went for a bath at a crossing of the Deduru Oya in the Nikaweratiya, Kobeigane area yesterday (16) when they were swept away.

Out of 15 individuals who went to bathe, 10 met with this misfortune.
