The Sagarika train, which derailed yesterday, derailed once more today while being moved back toward Colombo after being re-railed.
This second incident occurred near the Kompanna Veediya railway station at approximately 6:20 PM.
The Railway Department stated that one track on the coastal line is blocked again due to this occurrence.
Consequently, train operations between Colombo Fort and Wellawatte are currently restricted to a single track.
