Locomotive drivers are withdrawing from operating trains with technical defects, according to the Locomotive Operating Engineers' Association.
Convener Indika Dodangoda stated that drivers started strictly adhering to speed limits during train operations as of yesterday.
He further noted that these measures may lead to train delays.
Meanwhile, the Railway Department stated that the Sagarika train will operate according to its schedule starting today.
