Former MP Eran Wickramaratne appointed Chairman of the SLC Interim Committee

Former Member of Parliament Eran Wickramaratne was appointed as the Chairman of the Interim Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket.

The Ministry of Sports confirmed the appointments this afternoon (29) during a session led by Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage.

The committee includes prominent former cricketers Roshan Mahanama, Kumar Sangakkara, and Sidath Wettimuny, alongside professionals Thushira Radella, Avanthi Colombage, Prakash Schaffter, and legal experts Upul Kumarapperuma and President’s Counsel Dinal Phillips.

This high-profile team is tasked with overseeing administrative operations and introducing structural reforms to the sporting body.

Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage finalised the appointments at the Ministry of Sports to ensure transparency and strategic development within the country’s cricket administration.

Wickramaratne, a career banker, is expected to leverage his professional background to guide the committee's efforts in modernising the organization's governance.
