Man fatally attacked with blunt weapon

A 52-year-old resident of Kodikanda, Embilipitiya, lost his life last night (10) after being attacked with a blunt weapon.

Police Headquarters stated that the incident occurred in the Kodikanda area within the Embilipitiya police division.

Initial police investigations revealed that a dispute between the deceased and two other individuals escalated, leading to the fatal encounter.

According to authorities, the suspects struck the victim with an iron rod during the argument.

While the suspects fled the area following the attack, Embilipitiya Police continue further investigations to take them into custody.
