Four hospitalised following Kiwulaara road mishap

Four people were hospitalised following a road mishap in the Kiwulaara area on the Wellawaya - Thanamalwila road today (12).

Thanamalwila Police state that two motorcycles and a car transporting a group of foreigners collided to cause the incident.

A motorcycle travelling from Wellawaya towards Thanamalwila lost control and crashed into another motorcycle and a car travelling ahead.

Police report the car was transporting a group of Indians towards Ella from the opposite direction.

The four injured individuals were travelling on the two motorcycles. They include a 23-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man from Uda Mattala, alongside a 51-year-old woman and a man from Kiwulaara.

One of the injured remains in critical condition and was admitted to the Hambantota General Hospital for further treatment. Thanamalwila Headquarters Police conduct further investigations into the matter.
