The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) extended the landslide early warnings issued for 13 districts in the island until 4:00 pm tomorrow (16).
Accordingly, these warnings were issued for the Badulla, Colombo, Galle, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Matara, Monaragala, Nuwara Eliya, and Ratnapura districts.
Due to the prevailing rainy weather conditions, authorities request the public to remain vigilant if signs such as cracks on hill slopes, ground subsidence, slanting of trees, or the appearance of springs are observed.
