Two persons were seriously injured when a lorry transporting tea leaves veered off the road and fell nearly 200 feet into a precipice at the Farmside estate in Talawakelle–Lindula.
The Police said the injured are the driver and the assistant.
Both victims were admitted to Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital. According to hospital sources, the driver, who was receiving intensive care treatment, was transferred to Kandy Teaching Hospital.
