The verdict in four cases filed by the Bribery Commission against former Deputy Minister Sarana Gunawardena over a corruption allegation is scheduled to be announced today (26).
The Colombo High Court Judge Mohammad Mishaal previously postponed the delivery of the verdict until today, after it was initially scheduled to be announced on 30 April.
The Bribery Commission filed these four cases against Sarana Gunawardena, accusing him of causing a loss to the government during his tenure as the Chairman of the National Lotteries Board in 2006, when acquiring vehicles on a rental basis for the board.
