The International Monetary Fund (IMF) could exert further pressure on Sri Lanka due to the current economic situation, economic analysts state.
Meanwhile, the executive committee of the IMF will meet tomorrow early morning, Sri Lankan time, to consider approving the fifth and sixth combined reviews under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) for the country.
Sri Lanka expects to receive an infusion of USD 700 million under this approval.
